About Michelle Moesker

For me, art is one incredible, encompassing adventure – starting loosely, experimenting with mediums, laying down expressive mark making, brushstrokes and colour, and bringing to life beauty and nature-inspired themes. After building a chaotic base of charcoal, graphite, collage, spray paint and acrylic, I then turn to glazing, introducing my subjects and refining in oil. It is always a journey of surprise, and my hope is to bring a smile and connection to viewers and collectors alike.

Artist Bio

Michelle has always been inspired by art and after completing a Business Degree, Michelle’s first marketing position was at a paint company. This opened up the world of colour, and a spark ignited to study design. Completing an Advanced Diploma of Interior Design in her early 30s, Michelle then ran her own design business and taught design part-time for a decade for a variety of colleges in Sydney.

Apart from a few years of living in London and Hong Kong, Michelle was a Sydney-sider until in 2011, when she relocated to Queensland. Having then met her life partner, Michelle is now settled in South East Queensland on a 100 acre property and is inspired by the beautiful natural surrounds, has completed the 12 month Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program and is embarking on her career as a full time artist working from her home studio.

Michelle's work has a fresh unique combination of abstract elements mixed with realism, and typically displays a bold colour scheme. Her works are quirky and a definite signature style is evolving.

Future plans are in the making, with the goal being to have a working studio/gallery open for artist workshops and collectors to visit in the Somerset Region of South East Queensland, Australia.
